The Interviews of Excellence are group information and career mentoring sessions, aimed at high school students from disadvantaged backgrounds and concerned about their professional future. In this space, professionals of recognized prestige (successful entrepreneurs, high-ranking officials, researchers, managers of large companies…), mostly of foreign origin, are invited to share with them their own life experiences and how they develop their careers.
The Interviews of Excellence become sessions of discussion and reflection, in order to guide young people towards higher education (professional and university courses) and to provide information on the existing formative resources (schools and universities). Thus, the horizon of possibilities of these young people expands, and the equality of educational opportunities is promoted.
Since 2006, when the Interviews of Excellence were initiated by the French Club XXIe Siècle, more than 5,500 young adults have attended this activity.
