A society with such strong values as the Catalan, which promotes talent, social cohesion and unity, requires the existence of an entity that also ensures diversity, and that is why I am pleased to introduce you to Club XXIe Siècle Catalonia.
The Club comes from the hand of the successful French Club XXIe Siècle, thanks to the efforts of the different collaborating entities and to the task carried out by the sponsors.
The aim of the Catalan club is the same as that of its French leading organisation; to promote diversity as a constitutive and important element of national cohesion. The Club XXIe Siècle Catalonia wants to strengthen the equality of opportunities, to reflect academically on entrepreneurship and new immigrants, and to disseminate best practices in the field of corporate diversity.
Catalonia is a land of diversity. About 21% of the foreign population of diverse origin in Spain lives in Catalonia, which in absolute terms results in 1,189,779 people. The size of the population to which this project is addressed, provides the entity with a major role in the current Catalan reality and a great framework.
Finally, it is necessary to highlight that the concept of “diversity” is on the agenda of our institutions of reference.
The European Union adopts diversity since the European Ministerial Conference on Integration –Declaration of Zaragoza–, and now it is an essential concept in policies for human capital. The UNESCO has recognized cultural diversity as an intangible patrimony of humanity.
In this context, the Club XXIe Siècle Catalonia will be the reference point where stares find their reflection. If you are a committed person who shares the spirit of the Club, you have a place among us.
President of the Club XXIe Siècle Catalunya
